
.For most people a Lambretta scooter isn't just transportation, its a lifestyle. From 1947, the first Lambretta scooter hit the market to be an inexpensive form of transportation. The Lambretta scooter was named after the Lambrate area of Milan Italy. The Innocenti Lambretta was manufactured up until 1972. The Lambretta scooter had made itself into the entertainment spotlight in the early fifties with famous celebrities including, Laurel and Hardy on two model Cs. The 150LD even appeared while making the movie Never Steal Anything Small, with James Cagney and Shirley Jones. Rock Hudson was even in a shot with the Lambretta. And if the Lambretta scooter could be on film, it could also be in corporate America. David Rockefeller of Chase Bank rode a Series1 TV175 on a visit to Milan in 1957. With all of this attention, it is of no wonder why the Lambretta scooter became so popular.
